Our Club

At Game Plan Athletics our goals are about more than volleyball playing opportunities. We strive to provide the best atmosphere for athletes to thrive on and off the court. Our slogan "What's the plan?" is about more than the game strategy when stepping on the court; it is the grounding philosophy in our gym. Combining fundamentals, game strategy, and personal development all wrapped into a family-oriented program is like nothing you will find in another club.

Our focus is on the well-rounded development of every athlete. When coming to Game Plan Athletics we aim to continuously push every athlete beyond their limits while simultaneously fostering an environment of support. Iron sharpens iron. We teach our athletes to embrace the chaos and face every challenge head-on, backing down to nothing.

If you are ready to do things a little differently, allow us to assist your athlete to grow in their game plan together; we only have one question, What's the plan?

We run a combination of tier training, positional, and team practices. We will have practices 3x a week. One day will be positional and strength day and the other two days will be team focused practices. All of our teams will practice and travel together. If for any reason, there is a missed practice due to travel for tournaments, each week players will still have one day of positional and strength and one day of team focused practice.

Yes. However, the programming for our strength training is not a traditional strength program. Our programming is based upon Sports Science. We will utilize VALD equipment - Force Frame, Force Deck, Norbord, and Dynamo ROM. We do not strength train just to strength train; everything we do has a purpose. With utilizing the VALD equipment we are able to identify each individual's strengths and weaknesses and target those specifically within our training program. These tools allow us to train at a different intensity and with more purpose than with a general strength training program. The data provided from these tests allow us to reduce the risk of injury as we can pinpoint the exact asymmetries of each individual athlete and actively work to minimize those musculature differences. We will actively train throughout the entire season to form a more stable, explosive, and powerful athlete.

How are payments set up?

The club fees are broken down into 5 equal payments. The deposit is required when signing your contract. You have the option to pay the deposit in full or in two installments. The club dues are due by the 15th of the month, with the payments being required on October, November, December, January, and February.

What do the program dues include?

The program dues cover a variety of operating expenses related to the season. This includes coaches pay, coaches travel costs, practice facility rental, uniform costs, tournament entry fees, and equipment costs.

What all is included within the uniform package?

The uniform package includes:

  • 3 - 4 jerseys

  • Player warm - ups (includes a travel jacket, pant, and short set)

  • 1 practice shirt

  • A player bag

  • Hudl

What is the expected level of play?

The division of play will be based upon the potential players signing a contract. We will always attempt to create one (1) National level team and one (1) American level for the age groups offered. We want to focus on quality training and competition, not looking to build for quantity.

How do you handle recruiting and film for the athletes?

The program dues include access to Hudl - a service used for film and stat keeping of the athletes. With regards to recruiting, we will be using a service called Field Level in combination with the Hudl platform, which will give college coaches access to join and follow your athletes throughout the season. It will also allow you to see what schools are interested in your player to help streamline the recruiting process. If you have further needs or want more hands-on help with your recruiting, please reach out to Director Breyona Colley or our Recruiting Coordinator to set up a time to discuss.

The difference is the foundation of what GPA is built upon. At GPA we want your athlete to thrive on every level, not just the athletic one. We want to help grow and develop each athlete into the person that they want to become. We are instilling more than volleyball skills or any sport-specific skills into our athletes, but instead focus on foundational life skills such as the implementation of hard-work, self-confidence, team building, and being an effective communicator. At GPA we have included internships, academic tutoring, and other specialized training tools to help your athlete succeed in every way possible. Additionally, the training modalities and recovery modalities that our athletes have access to, you will not find within any other club.

What makes this program any different than the rest?
